Happy Friday everyone! It’s the end of the first week of April, so I’m about due to update you on my goals of the month. You may notice that I am now referring to my goals as my “intentions.” This month I am setting intentions not goals. It may not seem like much of a difference, but I feel like it takes the pressure off of me. You can fail at a goal, but if I don’t complete my intention, that is totally okay. I can try again next month. This is just a way I am working to show myself some grace. The journey is more important than the destination after all. So why spend the whole journey stressed out?
You guys, last month was insane for me. I had midterms, first of all, which always creates for a crazy time. Spring Break fell in the middle of the month, which was wonderful. I traveled with my family and fiancé down to San Antonio, and then I spent time in Hico and Waco with my fiancé and his family. But, in the midst of all of this, I literally just had no time to sit down and make any goals. My goals page in my bullet journal is just totally blank.
Oh well! I took a morning and sat and created my next set of intentions, so all is well.
Second Quarter Intentions
This quarter, I tried to keep my second quarter intentions simple and relatively related to my “big goals” for the year as a whole.
• Blog content
• Social media
• Email list creation
• Study spiritual disciplines.
• Read nine more books
• Create my war binder/ faith journal.
• Make my “adulthood” preparation plan and begin.
Some of this may seem rather vague, and that is because it is vague. I want to let myself develop these intentions as I go, so I will break them down as I decide what to do.
This month, I listed what I want to accomplish as both intentions and projects. There is some overlap, so I will list out both for you.
The following are anything that takes more than one step to complete and includes homework and personal things I want to accomplish.
• War binder
• Send Bibles (to the church I visited in Peru)
• Write Bad Girls Seminar paper,
• Essay 3,
• and a critical paper.
• Work on Simplify journal.
Here is where I break down my second quarter intentions a little further and write out anything else that I want to do this month that will help me grow as a person, help me on my spiritual walk, etc. It really is pretty arbitrary what I put here versus under projects.
• Read Celebration of Discipline,
• Finding Spiritual Whitespace,
• and The Screwtape Letters.
• Do yoga four times per week.
• Post six times.
• Create schedules.
• Create spiritual intentions.
So, this is my plan for the month of April! I hope you enjoyed and were encouraged or inspired to tackle your own goals or intentions this month!!! God bless! Also, I would love to hear what your goals are and how you are going to accomplish them this month. Leave a comment below!
